There are millions of people who claim they have the cure for the common cold. Whether that cure be as ridiculous as boiling some random concoction over the stove and deeply inhaling the fumes, or as simple as taking some medication, drinking lots of water and eating crazy amounts of soup…
In actuality though, there is no common cure for the cold. You can only treat the symptoms.
Recently (actually for the past few years), I have always been hearing people say how we are in a “recession”. Well, what is a recession? Dictionary.com defines a recession as (in terms of economics): a period of an economic contraction, sometimes limited in scope or duration. Wonderful, so according to this basic definition, I would assume the line limited in scope or duration means that it will soon end?
Now I am not going to go into the whole business cycle deal and explain each part, I believe that some (if not most of us) realize that when things go down they usually come back up. Maybe it can be best explained in the saying: “It’s always darkest before dawn.”
Let me wrap things up here, my basic point is for people to realize that just because we are in a recession doesn’t mean it is the end of the world, or that you need to talk so much about it. The negative media outlay of the recession only spreads the disease, causing a pandemic.
Everyone thinks they have the cure, but just like the common cold itself, you do the best you can to cure the symptoms until the cold just goes away…
